Metropolitan Opera Presents New Year's Eve Fireworks in Lincoln Center's Plaza
31 Dec 2007 -- Tonight's performance of Gounod's Roméo et Juliette at the Metropolitan Opera marks the company's first New Year's Eve gala in five years. To celebrate, the Met is offering the public a free fireworks display — with confetti — designed by the house's own technical department.
