Is this the gift for the proverbial gentleman or lady who has everything?
Lincoln Center is now offering the opportunity to name individual seats at the redesigned Alice Tully Hall, which is set to re-open in early 2009 following 18 months of reconstruction and renovation.
The name of each donor — or whichever honoree(s) the donor may designate — will be engraved on a plaque on the chosen seat, which will keep the name in perpetuity. Donations, which are fully tax-deductible, are $5,000 and $10,000 per seat, depending on location; special rates are available for the naming of two or more contiguous seats.
In addition to the actual named seats, donors will receive invitations to special events during Tully Hall's re-opening season, listing in a special commemorative program and a customized gift certificate available for this year's holiday season.
