"It's the experience of listening to live music that often creates moments you want to hear again," says conductor David Robertson, "but with live, you can't rewind. With the 'Encore!' program, Saint Louis Symphony patrons can do just that."

"Performing live each weekend creates many moments of unpredictability," said Robertson, the SLSO's music director, in a statement announcing the program, "each time you hear a performance it's slightly different." "Encore!" is specifically designed to let listeners enjoy the variations and the excitement of live performance more than once.
Any SLSO concertgoer may present his/her ticket stub, with ID, at the Powell Symphony Hall box office for a free ticket to a remaining performance of the same program, subject to availability. (Alas, the offer isn't valid for SLSO performances at Carnegie Hall or elsewhere on tour.) Patrons are requested to exchange their ticket stubs for "Encore!" tickets no later than one hour before curtain time.
"This is a fantastic way to hear old favorites again," observed SLSO VP of marketing Kristi Kovalak, "or for folks to come back if they've heard something new that intrigues them. When there is something you really spark to, it's extraordinary to be able to experience music of this caliber a second time."
