Boston Symphony music director James Levine will lead the orchestra in the world premiere tonight of Charles Wuorinen's Eighth Symphony, titled Theologoumena.

The program, which also includes Haydn's Symphony No. 22 and Brahms's Symphony No. 4, will be repeated tomorrow and Saturday (February 16 and 17).

Pulitzer Prize-winning American composer Wuorinen's Eighth Symphony is the first of four BSO world premieres this season and the first of three celebrating the orchestra's 125th anniversary.
