New York City Opera Announces Additional $25 'Opera-For-All' Performance of Bohème

By Matthew Westphal
26 Sep 2006

New York City Opera has announced the latest addition to its highly popular 'Opera-For-All' program. On Friday, October 6, the company will present an extra performance of its production of Puccini's La Bohème — and every seat in the house will cost $25.

The performance, which begins at 8 pm at the New York State Theater in Lincoln Center, stars Shu-Ying Li as Mimì, Elizabeth Caballero as Musetta, James Valenti (making his company debut in this run) as Rodolfo and Daniel Mobbs as Marcello. City Opera music director George Manahan conducts; the staging is by director James Robinson.

Tickets, limited to two per person, are available at the State Theater box office, City Opera's website (www.nycopera.com) and by telephone via Centercharge (212-721-6500).

All four Opera-For-All performances which New York City Opera gave earlier this month (September 7-10) — of Bohème, Carmen and a concert performance offering highlights from the upcoming season — were completely sold out.
