A two-year-old recording of Book I of Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier by pianist and conductor Daniel Barenboim debuted on the Billboard classical chart this week at number 17.

Barenboim has performed the Bach collection of preludes and fugues frequently in recent seasons; he played Book II last weekend in his final solo appearance as music director of the Chicago Symphony.

The 5 Browns' No Boundaries remained at the top of the chart for the 10th straight week. A collection of Mozart Violin Concertos by Anne-Sophie Mutter — she conducts the London Philharmonic as well as playing the solo part — jumped back onto the chart, showing up at number two after previously dropping off.

On the classical-crossover chart, Andrea Bocelli's Amore remained at number one for the 19th straight week. Tenology, the latest album from Australia's Ten Tenors, debuted at number 17.
