Thomas Hampson's Song of America, the companion album to the baritone's current tour, debuted on the Billboard classical-crossover chart this week at number 22.

The CD includes songs by such American composers as Ned Rorem, Leonard Bernstein, and Stephen Foster, as well as traditional music.

Also new to the crossover chart was Ancora, the latest CD from the pop-opera foursome Il Divo, at number 16. The album includes songs in Spanish, English and Italian, including a collaboration with singer Celine Dion.

Il Divo's self-titled debut remained at number one in its 40th week on the chart, followed again by the John Williams soundtracks for Memoirs of a Geisha and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

On the classical chart, the soundtrack to Casanova remained at number one for the second straight week; Renée Fleming's Sacred Songs moved back up to number two.

Dawn Upshaw's recording of Osvaldo Golijov's Ayre jumped from number 21 to number nine, and Anne-Sophie Mutter's recording of Mozart violin concertos with the London Philharmonic, rose from number 20 to number 13.
