23 Feb 2014 -- From Mary Lou Williams to Billie Holiday, women have made the greatest of contributions to jazz throughout its history. Jazz at Lincoln Center will be celebrating Women’s History Month with The Maria Schneider Orchestra in The Allen Room on March 14–15 at 7:00pm and 9:30pm.

04 Feb 2013 -- Blood on the Fields, the historic oratorio on slavery and freedom written by Wynton Marsalis, premiered April 1, 1994 in Alice Tully Hall. In 1997 it became the first jazz composition to receive the Pulitzer Prize in Music.

Birth of the Cool
30 Nov 2012 -- Jazz at Lincoln Center continues its 25th Anniversary celebration with a series of festivals highlighting its rich history of performances. In January, JALC explores a particular era in jazz with the Birth of the Cool Festival, featuring performances in Rose Theater, The Allen Room, and Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola in Frederick P. Rose Hall.
