Winning the Gilmore Award in 2006 put Buenos Aires-born pianist Ingrid Fliter dramatically on the map, marking her as one of the most important young artists on the international scene. Her latest album, Chopin Waltzes, was released Nov. 3 on EMI Classics.

**

In both concerts and recordings, Fliter has demonstrated a particularly deep affinity for the music of Chopin. “His music,” she notes, “is like looking into a kaleidoscope of human life…He creates a whole world in each little piece.” Her second all-Chopin album for EMI Classics is a collection of all of the Polish composer’s Waltzes.

Reviewing the new album, London’s Guardian called her “a Chopin interpreter of immense refinement and imagination. These are beautifully conceived performances, full of crisp, original detail, and sparklingly articulated.”
