Double Duty

Two of the Metropolitan Opera's star sopranos each take on two different roles in November. Russian Maria Guleghina travels from the nightmarish world of Lady Macbeth to the tragedy of Norma, and German Diana Damrau pulls off a unique mother-daughter act in Die Zauberflöte. The singers told the Met's Philipp Brieler about this special balancing act.
