Mark Stuart, who is the associate choreographer for the Broadway musical Bandstand, will direct and choreograph The Song and Dance of Broadway as part of the World Musical Concert series at Tokyo's Tokyu Theatre Orb.

The production, running October 7–9, will honor musical and dance genres from musicals of the past five decades, including Fosse, Sweet Charity, Smokey Joe’s Café, The Wiz, and Wicked. The cast will be headed by Earl Carpenter, Siobhan Dillon, Eric Kunzte, and Willemijn Verkaik.

The Song and Dance of Broadway will also feature dancers from Mark Stuart Dance Theatre, including Jaime Verazin, Michelle Camaya, Daniel Gaymon, and Colby Lindeman.

The event will include a preview of Mark Stuart Dance Theatre’s dance musical Standard Time: When Change Comes.
