Springsteen on Broadway, an intimate solo concert from 20-time Grammy Award-winning rock legend Bruce Springsteen, officially opened on Broadway October 12 at the Walter Kerr Theatre. Performances began October 3.
Springsteen will perform five shows a week during the run, which has extended through February 3, 2018.
The musician offers an up-close and personal evening that loosely follows that arc of his life and work. “My show is just me, the guitar, the piano and the words and music. Some of the show is spoken, some of it is sung. It loosely follows the arc of my life and my work. All of it together is in pursuit of my constant goal to provide an entertaining evening and to communicate something of value,” said Springsteen in an earlier statement.
The creative team includes Heather Wolensky (scenic design), Natasha Katz (lighting design), and Brian Ronan (sound design).
The Walter Kerr Theatre is located at 219 West 48th Street, New York City.
