Two-time Grammy winner Jason Mraz began his limited engagement in Waitress November 3, marking his Broadway debut.
He and leading lady Betsy Wolfe appeared on the November 8 broadcast of Live With Kelly and Ryan, proving their vocal power and chemistry make for a winning combination. Wolfe plays Jenna, the gifted pie baker at Joe’s Diner who wins over her gynecologist, Dr. Pomatter, played by Mraz, with her delicious desserts.
Waitress plays the Brooks Atkinson Theatre; Mraz has joined the cast for a 10-week run. The musical earned four 2016 Tony nominations, including Best Musical and Best Original Score by Sara Bareilles.
