Casting is now complete for Bulldozer: The Ballad of Robert Moses, which will play a limited engagement at Off-Broadway's Theatre at St. Clement’s. Rock of Ages Tony nominee and former American Idol finalist Constantine Maroulis, as previously reported, will star in the title role.

He will be joined by Wayne Wilcox as Nelson Rockefeller, Molly Pope as Jane Jacobs, Ryan Knowles, and Kacie Sheik.

Karen Carpenter will direct the new rock musical about Robert Moses as he pushes his way through New York City, building parkways and bridges to make the city move. Performances are set for November 25–January 7, 2018.

Bulldozer features music and lyrics by Peter Galperin with a book by Galperin and Daniel Scot Kadin.

“There could not be a more timely tale,” explained director Carpenter in an earlier statement. “Moses single-handedly sold the soul of NYC to the automobile, building by decree, transcending local politics, unseen omnipotent, running roughshod over the common man—building highways at the expense of people and neighborhoods and mass transit.”

The production will also have musical direction by Rob Baumgartner, scenic design by Ken Larson, lighting design by Zach Blane, and costume design by Bobby Fredrick Tilley.

The new musical is produced by Bulldozer Partners in association with Aaron Grant Theatrical.
