Kate Burton, who currently stars in Present Laughter as Kevin Kline’s estranged wife, Liz Essendine, made her Broadway debut in a 1982 revival of the Noël Coward comedy directed by George C. Scott. She has since been a staple of stage and screen, including her Tony-nominated performances in Hedda Gabler, The Elephant Man, and The Constant Wife, as well as her Emmy-nominated roles on the TV dramas Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal.
