Broadway stars Robert Cuccioli and Alli Mauzey will be featured in a concert performance of the rarely-seen 1982 musical Charlotte Sweet February 27, 2018 at Feinstein’s/54 Below supper club in New York City.

The title role will be played by Adrienne Eller, most recently seen in the national tour of A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder. The concert will be narrated by Mara Beckerman, who created the role of Charlotte in the original production.

In the story, Charlotte is a unusually high-voiced soprano, who, because of her father's debts, is forced to leave her Liverpool sweetheart Ludlow Ladd and join Barnaby Bugaboo's Circus of Voices. The troupe of odd voices includes low-voiced Katinka Bugaboo, fast-voiced Harry Host, bubble-voiced Cecily Macintosh, and Skitzy Scofield (with dual personalities & voices).

Cuccioli (Jekyll & Hyde) will play Barnaby Bugaboo, with Mauzey (Cry-Baby, Wicked) as Skitzy Scofield.

Joining them are Eddie Korbich (The Drowsy Chaperone, A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder) as Harry Host, Bethe Austin (Tales of Tinseltown) as Cecily MacIntosh, Justin Chevalier (The Last Séance) as Ludlow Ladd, Ellen Harvey (Present Laughter) as Katinka Bugaboo, and Michael McCoy (Phantom of the Opera) as Bob Sweet.

The all-rhymed musical has a book and lyrics by Michael Colby and music by Gerald Jay Markoe.

Charlotte Sweet—In Concert is presented by Steven Carl McCasland and James Horan as part of the club’s Second Act Series,.

Feinstein’s/54 Below is located at 254 West 54th Street, beneath Studio 54, in Manhattan. Tickets, which cost $15–$105 (plus a $25 food/drink minimum), can be ordered here. Tickets on the day of performance after 4 PM are available only by calling (646) 476-3551.
