Rita Wilson will showcase her skills as actor, singer, songwriter, and storyteller in an eight-performance booking of her cabaret show Liner Notes, September 7–17 at the Audrey Skirball Theater at Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles.

The gig marks her third appearance at the Geffen. She will perform a variety of songs by herself and others, and will be joined by guest songwriters (to be announced) to perform and tell the stories behind their songs.

Wilson appeared on Broadway in Larry David’s 2015 comedy Fish in the Dark. She also played a stint as Roxie Hart in the long-running revival of Chicago. Her films include Sleepless in Seattle, Jingle All the Way, and Runaway Bride. She is married to actor Tom Hanks, and is an activist member of the anti-poverty ONE charity.

Performances are 8 PM Thursday–Saturday, and 7 PM Sunday at 10886 Le Conte Avenue, Los Angeles, California. Priced $59–$149, tickets can be ordered by phone at (310) 208-5454 or online at Geffenplayhouse.org.
