It's not Halloween yet, but rehearsals have begun for Tony Award nominee Norm Lewis’s third annual Christmas concert at Feinstein’s/54 Below.

Norm Lewis: Santa Baby! will be presented 9:30 PM December 18–23. Directed, once again, by Richard Jay-Alexander, Lewis plans a largely new program that will also feature some audience favorites from his past two Christmas shows at the New York City supper club. Lewis told Playbill that the song list includes “This Christmas,” “Santa Baby,” “Where Is Love?,” “Home” from The Wiz,” “The Gift of Love,” and “All I Want for Christmas.”

Lewis earned his 2012 Tony Award nomination for his performance in the title role of The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess. In 2014 he had the distinction of becoming the first African-American actor to play the title role in Broadway’s The Phantom of the Opera. He spent much of 2017 in Mrs. Lovett’s pie shop at the Barrow Street Theater in Greenwich Village, co-starring with Carolee Carmello in the title role of Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd.

Lewis’ other Broadway roles include Jake in the original production of Side Show (1997), the Painter in Amour (2002), Javert in Les Misérables (2006), King Triton in The Little Mermaid (2008), and part of the star ensemble in Sondheim on Sondheim (2010). He’s regular on VH1’s Daytime Divas, playing the doorman William. He also plays Senator Edison Davis on ABC’s Scandal.
