Directed once again by Richard Jay-Alexander, Lewis plans a largely new program that will also feature audience favorites from his past two Christmas shows at the New York City supper club. Lewis told Playbill that the song list includes “This Christmas,” “Santa Baby,” “Where Is Love?,” “Home” from The Wiz, “The Gift of Love,” and “All I Want for Christmas.”

Lewis earned a 2012 Tony Award nomination for his performance in The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess. In 2014 he had the distinction of becoming the first African-American actor to play the title role in Broadway’s The Phantom of the Opera. He spent much of 2017 in Mrs. Lovett’s pie shop at the Barrow Street Theater in Greenwich Village, co-starring with Carolee Carmello in Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd.
