Repairs on Paris’ Mogador Theatre, which has been closed since a September 25 fire that broke out in the theatre’s basement—just days before the Paris premiere of The Phantom of the Opera—will be completed by July, officials at the theatre tell Playbill.

The theatre is set to reopen September 28 with a production of the Jim Jacobs-Warren Casey musical Grease.

At this time, there are no future plans to stage Phantom at the Mogador. The anticipated production, which was to star Sierra Boggess, would have marked the first time the musical would have been presented in French.
