Tony nominee Liz Callaway will warm hearts on the West Coast December 21 when she unwraps her Celebrate! holiday concert at the Sorting Room at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, California.

The festive evening will feature songs from her Christmas album, Merry & Bright, as well as personal favorites from the Broadway productions and films of Stephen Sondheim, Richard Rodgers, Ahrens and Flaherty, and other songwriters.

Callaway told Playbill, “The concert is half holiday music and half Broadway. In true Liz fashion I’m still deciding my set list. But some songs are definite: “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,’ ‘Grown Up Christmas List,’ ‘Once Upon a December,’ and ‘Journey to the Past’ from Anastasia, ( the film just celebrated its 20th anniversary!). There will also be some Sondheim including (with Richard Rodgers) ‘What Do We Do? We Fly!’—my ode to holiday travel.”

She also recalled some of her favorite Christmas memories: “My best Christmas present was when Santa brought me my first stereo set at age 8. My best tradition Is making music with my family, so I’m thrilled to be have my son Nicholas joining me for a duet.”

Callaway made her Broadway debut in the original cast of Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along, received a Tony Award nomination for her performance in Baby, and replaced as Grizabella during the original run of Cats. She has also starred in the original casts of Miss Saigon, The Three Musketeers, and The Look of Love. She currently maintains a busy schedule as a concert and recording artist.
