Tony nominee Liz Callaway will be the featured guest soloist with The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra for its December 8–10 Holiday Pops concerts at the refurbished Music Hall in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Pops has returned to the Music Hall after a season at the Taft Theatre while the Music Hall was being renovated.

Holiday Pops, which will also feature Denzal Sinclaire, dancers, and the Cincinnati Pops Chorale, will give four performances, 8 PM December 8, 2 and 8 PM December 9, and 2 PM December 10. Tickets, at $20 to $95, can be ordered at CincinnatiSymphony.org.

Callaway replaces the originally scheduled Laura Benanti, who is appearing on Broadway in Steve Martin’s Meteor Shower.

Callaway made her Broadway debut in Stephen Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along, received a Tony Award nomination for her performance in Baby, and replaced as Grizabella during the original run of Cats. She has also starred in the original casts of Miss Saigon, The Three Musketeers, and The Look of Love. She currently maintains a busy schedule as a concert and recording artist.

Conductor John Morris Russell said in a statement, “This building, our Music Hall, has nurtured some of the most significant musical performances in our nation’s history, and as we re-open Cincinnati’s musical treasure with the Pops, we pop the cork on a new era of musical splendor with works by America’s greatest cinematic composer: John Williams. It’s hard to put into words the thrilling anticipation, honor and sheer delight we are all feeling about filling this grand space with the brilliant virtuosity of the Pops during these extraordinarily special concerts. There is no better way to show off the new acoustical resplendence of our home than with the some of the most dazzling and ardently emotive film scores ever created.”
