With Prince of Broadway now in previews on Broadway, we’re celebrating the legendary career of director Harold Prince in this week’s Name That Tune. How many of the songs can you name?
Prince of Broadway is a musical retrospective that celebrates Prince’s work on Broadway. The production, co-directed by Prince and Susan Stroman, features both biographical material and songs from many of the shows that earned him a record 21 Tony Awards, including the original productions of West Side Story, Fiddler on the Roof, Cabaret, Company, Sweeney Todd, Evita, and The Phantom of the Opera.
The show will open August 24 at Manhattan Theatre Club’s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre.
