Garfield stopped by The Ellen Show October 17 to discuss his upcoming movie Breathe. But host Ellen DeGeneres had some other plans; she found a video of Garfield lip-syncing to Whitney Houston.

“I was doing a play in London called Angels in America, which is a remarkable play. The legendary Michelle Visage, who is one of the judges on RuPaul’s Drag Race, came and saw the play, and she said we’re doing a Queens Werq the World world tour right now. Please come down and take part, and I said, ‘Take part?’ And she said, ‘If you’ve got the guts, maybe come and do a Whitney Houston lip sync and make a fool of yourself in front of thousands of queens and fans.’”

Garfield then reprised part of his performance for the live studio audience.

Angels in America is set to open on Broadway March 25 at the Neil Simon Theatre. Directed by two-time Tony winner Marianne Elliott, the play appears in two parts.
