Three musicals were the top earners for the week ending October 15: Hamilton, which took in $2,930,747; Hello, Dolly!, which earned $2,371,088 (marking the revival's second consecutive week of breaking the box-office records for The Shubert Organization); and The Lion King, which took in $2,079,369, just a few weeks shy of celebrating its 20th anniversary on Broadway.

Seven productions topped the $1 million mark, including Bruce Springsteen's solo show, Springsteen on Broadway, which officially opened October 12 and earned $1,924,818 in just five performances. The other six in the million-dollar club: Aladdin ($1,492,667), Come From Away ($1,336,265), Dear Evan Hansen ($1,667,748), The Book of Mormon ($1,251,158), The Phantom of the Opera ($1,090,448), and Wicked ($1,767,617).
The new shows of the 2017–2018 season haven't reached gangbusters numbers just yet. The Roundabout Theatre Company production of Time and the Conways, which opened October 10, brought in $294,510. The newest musical arrival, The Band's Visit, played seven previews at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre to 84 percent capacity with a box-office gross of $768,914. In its first full week of previews, M. Butterfly (opening October 26) played to 83 percent capacity, grossing $521,366 in the Cort Theatre.
