Music Video Exclusive: Watch Broadway’s Arielle Jacobs Nail ‘The Wizard and I’ The recently announced new Princess Jasmine in Aladdin on Broadway sings from Wicked in her Feinstein’s/54 Below concert.

Having just announced her return to Broadway, actor Arielle Jacobs kicks off a Kickstarter campaign to raise money for her first solo album with this exclusive video.

Fresh off her turn as Princess Jasmine in the Australian production of Disney’s Aladdin, Jacobs will take on the role of the willful princess on Broadway beginning February 20, 2018. Her solo album, A Leap in the Dark!, will be a live recording of her solo show, which she previously performed at Feinstein’s/54 Below.

Jacobs made her Broadway debut in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony-winning In the Heights, where she played the role of Nina. She also played the role of Nessarose in Broadway’s Wicked. She has played leading roles in productions of Rent, Disney’s High School Musical, and Into the Woods, where she performed opposite Emmy-nominated actor Tituss Burgess. Off-Broadway, she has starred in two world-premiere plays by Pulitzer-winning playwright and director Nilo Cruz: Sotto Voce and the solo show Farhad or the Secret of Being, which was filmed for the Lincoln Center Public Library Archives.

Jacobs has performed in a multitude of concert halls and beside musicians such as Chaka Khan and Tony and Oscar winner Stephen Schwartz.
