The cast of the upcoming West End premiere of Hamilton stepped into the studio October 14 for the first official day of rehearsals. Take a look at the company as they prepare to run through Lin-Manuel Miranda’s score together in the video below.

“I’m kind of nervous about it—as you can see, my hands are shaking—I’m so nervous! But it’s going to be fun,” says Miss Saigon alum Rachelle Ann Go, who will take on the role of Eliza Hamilton.

The official start of rehearsals marked the culmination of a two-week preparation period, during which time Tony-winning music supervisor and orchestrator Alex Lacamoire guided the company through the music. “Everyone is so well prepared,” he says. “You can sense everyone having a good time; you can sense people really getting into the music. It’s been such a joy to see this music be embodied in this way.”
