Tony and Emmy winner Bryan Cranston (All The Way, Breaking Bad) is giving theatregoers the chance to appear on the National Theatre stage in his upcoming show, Network. In a new video on Twitter, Cranston urges the public to record themselves saying, “I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore!” If selected, the recording will be projected onstage during the production in London.
Lee Hall’s stage adaptation of the Oscar-winning 1976 film Network is set to begin performances at the National November 4. The play chronicles the story of a news anchor, played by Cranston, whose newfound popularity is exploited by the news network he tried to quit.
Network is directed by Tony winner Ivo van Hove (A View From the Bridge). Completing the cast are Charles Babalola, Tobi Bamtefa, Richard Cordery, Isabel Della-Porta, Michelle Dockery, Ian Drysdale, Michael Elwyn, Caroline Faber, Robert Gilbert, Douglas Henshall, Tom Hodgkins, Tunji Kasim, Andrew Lewis, Beverley Longhurst, Evan Milton, Stuart Nunn, Rebecca Omogbehin, Patrick Poletti, Danny Szam, and Paksie Vernon.

The production will feature set and lighting design by Jan Versweyveld, video design by Tal Yarden, costume design by An D’Huys, and music and sound design by Eric Sleichim. Network is produced in association with Patrick Myles, David Luff, Ros Povey, and Lee Menzies.
Network is scheduled to officially open November 13 and run through March 24, 2018.
