Freshly minted Tony Award winners Ben Platt and Gavin Creel will recreate their most embarrassingly terrible onstage performances in the October 15 edition of the fundraising concert, Let Me Try That Again: Take 5, at Feinstein’s/54 Below in New York City.

Platt, who won Best Actor in a Musical for his performance in the title role of Dear Evan Hansen, and Creel, who took home Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his work in Hello, Dolly!, will be joined by other performers to be announced in the fifth benefit for The Performing Arts Project,

Directed by Susan Blackwell ([title of show]), the 9:30 PM Let Me Try That Again promises “an evening of fabulous performers sharing their most embarrassing moments onstage and then redeeming themselves by recreating that moment. At the end of the evening, the audience will vote on the star performer who most redeemed themselves through their efforts that night.”

The concert event was conceived by Steven Pasquale (Junk, Robber Bridegroom, Bridges of Madison County). “This benefit is to remind us all that we all have failed. And failed miserably; in my case in particular,” says Pasquale. “But it’s also to remind us about persistence, and focus, and moving forward. And about recognizing how important it is to not take ourselves too seriously. It will be a crazy fun night.”

The Performing Arts Project is a not-for-profit organization that provides vibrant theatrical training to a generation of young performers. For more information, visit PerformingArtsProject.com.
