The actor and playwright begins her comedic homemaking TV show—including musical sketches, Tony-winning guest stars, and more.

On October 24, Drama Desk-nominated actor and writer Amy Sedaris premieres her new comedy series, At Home With Amy Sedaris, on TruTV.

Sedaris describes the series as a presentation of her “imaginative characters and unique point of view to create a rich world that showcases her diverse—but necessary—homemaking skills, from Frenching beans, to gutting a trout, to crocheting miniature sweaters, to entertaining businessmen.”

The show features guest stars such as Tony winner Jane Krakowski (Nine), comedian Rachel Dratch, and actor Paul Giamatti.

With her brother, playwright David Sedaris, she has co-authored multiple plays—under the pseudonym The Talent Family—including Stump the Host, Stitches, One Woman Shoe, Incident at Cobblers Knob, and The Little Frieda Mysteries. She also co-authored The Book of Liz, which has been widely produced in regional houses.

Sedaris was nominated for a Drama Desk Award in 2000 for Featured Actress in a Play in The Country Club. She played the role of the stage manager in The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told and is best known for her television role as Jerri Blank in Strangers with Candy, the show she co-wrote with Stephen Colbert and Paul Dinello. Dinello is also a co-creator of At Home.

The new program premieres on TruTV at 10:30 PM ET. Check your local listings.
